Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about what ToSpeca does, what it does not promise, and how the agent-guided spec workflow is meant to work.

Product basics

What does ToSpeca do?+

ToSpeca helps turn trading ideas, scripts or rough rules into a structured MT5/MQL5 specification that a developer can review and implement.

Is this a trading platform or broker?+

No. ToSpeca is a specification and handoff workspace. It does not place trades, connect to brokers, manage accounts, or provide financial advice.

Does ToSpeca promise profitable strategies?+

No. Readiness means the specification is clearer and better structured. It does not mean the strategy is profitable, safe to trade, or performance-validated.

Who is this for?+

It is for traders, founders, analysts, and teams who want a clearer brief before asking an MT5/MQL5 developer to build an Expert Advisor or indicator.

Input material

What can I start with?+

You can start with Pine Script, MQL4 or MQL5 code, existing EA or indicator logic, written rules or a free-form idea. Screenshots and files are planned.

Do I need a complete strategy before using it?+

No. Whatever your material does not settle becomes a question, one at a time. Nothing is filled in for you.

Can I upload several materials at once?+

Start with one text or code and add more material to the same project at any time. If two materials disagree, you choose what applies.

What if my notes are unclear?+

Anything your material does not state exactly is shown to you for confirmation or asked as a question. Nothing is guessed.

Workflow

What happens after intake?+

After login, ToSpeca creates a private workspace, analyzes the supplied material, shows what it understood, then guides you through clarifying the most important open decisions.

Why do I need to log in before the workspace?+

To keep your material, your answers, the draft spec and its frozen versions between sessions.

Can I change the target later?+

Yes. You choose Expert Advisor or Custom Indicator at intake; Change target starts a new project with the same material, and the first one stays in your history.

What are open questions, conflicts and developer's choices?+

An open question is something your material does not settle. A conflict is where your material says two different things. A developer's choice is a point you leave to the developer on purpose; it is listed in the handoff.

Output and handoff

What do I get at the end?+

You get a frozen spec packet with strategy intent, quotes from your material, your decisions, developer's choices, points not used, acceptance criteria and handoff boundaries.

Can I share the final spec?+

Yes. A snapshot is frozen and private. You can create a read-only link for a developer and revoke it at any time; sharing never changes the snapshot.

Can I download the packet?+

Yes. Download Markdown or print and save as PDF; both show exactly the frozen snapshot. JSON export is planned.

Does ToSpeca generate production-ready MQL5 code?+

No. ToSpeca writes the specification; the code is written and tested by the developer you hand it to.

Data and privacy

Where is my strategy material stored?+

In your private project, in our cloud database in the EU, once you sign in and save it; until then the draft stays only in your browser. Other users cannot see it unless you share a version by link. To read it, the service sends it to an AI provider — see the Privacy Policy.

Will my raw strategy text be sent to external analytics?+

No. Your material stays in your private project and does not go to analytics. To read the material and write the questions, the service sends it to an AI provider — Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI or OpenRouter, depending on the service's settings.

Does ToSpeca train models on my data?+

No. The service does not train models on your material. The AI provider processes it under its own API terms.
